The Cross, the Crescent and the Battle of Lepanto 10/2/2012
On October 7, 1571, in the Gulf of Lepanto the war galleys of the Holy League squared off against those of the Ottoman Turks, rowed by tens of thousands of Christian slaves. The battle decided the future of Europe, yet few Europeans (and even fewer Americans) know the story, much less how close Western Europe came to suffering an Islamic conquest.
 
Christopher Check, Director of Development for Catholic Answers and U.S. Marine Officer, believes that Europe and America without Christ are emptied of meaning and that Islam, is on the rise again.

As the political and religious conflicts of the 16th-Century tore Europe asunder, the Turk threatened to devour Christendom. She was saved only by the daring of Don John of Austria, the faith of Pope Saint Pius V, and the intercession of the Blessed Virgin. What will save the Christian West today?

Beer cheese bread dip with lots of bacon
A great German-style cheese dip flavored with bacon, onion, herbs and of course beer.
Dinner
Beer Brats
These sausages are grilled and then slow cooked in onions, peppers, in Bavarian style sauerkraut and of course lots and lots of beer! These brats have been the rave since we started eight years ago. Our side dish, German roasted potatoes. The potatoes are roasted covered in herbs, onions, garlic and bacon bits.

Adult General Admission: $20 and
Minor General Admission: $15 (Sons under 21).

Come share conversation, refreshments and appetizers with other guys then enjoy a fabulous "Manly Meal”. After that, listen to a great debate on the things that matter most. Men of all creeds and ages are welcome to join in the good humor, food, and fellowship. Priests and seminarians get in free but will not be shown partiality in debate. Fathers are encouraged to bring their minor sons.
