William B. "Bill” Stevenson teaches at the University of St. Thomas in the department of Catholic Studies and at the St. Paul Seminary. He earned a Ph.D. in Theology from Boston College. In addition to his teaching at St. Thomas, he has been a Tutor at St. John's College (Annapolis, MD), where he taught Greek literature and mathematics and served for a number of years as theology teacher and director of religion and theology at Providence Academy in Plymouth, MN.
Dr. Stevenson has served the United States Catholic Bishops on the National Dialogue Committee with churches of the Reformed Tradition. Currently he is also an adjunct professor for the Institute of Pastoral Theology at Ave Maria University and an instructor for the Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Institute.
He is the author of numerous articles in popular and scholarly journals and is currently engaged in writing a Bible study curriculum for the National Catholic Rural Life Conference. He lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with his wife Sue and their five children. In his spare time he is a runner and a free-lance tugboat deckhand.
